I love Daddy!

Sunday after church I was making some lunch, and looked over in the living room to see this. Chris was helping "little C" figure out how to work the toys that hang off of the play mat. It was so cute! Chris is such a cute Dad! I love watching the two of them together!

Chris likes to say that Christopher is a "Mommy's boy" but I beg to differ. He may be, (for now) but that would only be due to that I am his food source. If it weren't for that, I think he would be "Daddy's boy". He gets so happy when Chris comes home from work. Sometimes when I am holding him he fusses, and fusses until Chris takes him from me. Then once Chris has him he just smiles and coos. Christopher is becoming more and more active and interactive every day. It is so much fun to watch him grow! He is reaching for toys and holding on to everything. His new trick of the weekend is grabbing his toes, and pulling his socks off. That little trick, although funny, is kind of not so funny. Its hard enough to keep track of his little tiny socks--without him pulling them off!

I love those chubby little legs of his.

Happy Valentines Day!

Chris and Christopher spent the day together and I went to work. yipee... hahaha jk it was actually fun. There were sooooooooo many guys that came in needing gifts. Easy sales-- gotta love that. :) After work I came home and Chris had a cute card for me (that he had helped Christopher sign) along with some beautiful roses. It was early enough we thought we would try and go to dinner. Well apparently even 5 is not early enough on Valentines. There was a HUGE line, so we just headed back home and made dinner and watched some of our favorite shows that we had recorded. It turned out to be a really fun day! I love you Chris and Christopher!

The Draper Temple

Friday night we went with Marshall and Dixie and Aunt Nanette to the Draper Temple Open House. It was very fun to get to walk thru the beautiful building. At the risk of sounding super cheesy I am going to say I feel so incredibly blessed to live so close to so many temples. My grandparents (on my dads side) immigrated to Utah from Denmark to be close to other members of the church and to be able to live where they could go to a temple. So, I have tried to remember that not everyone is as lucky as I am. I can stand in my drive way and look at the new temple. .... My grandparents packed what they could fit into 3 trunks (no roll along suitcases in those days) took their then 3 yr old and 6-or-so month old baby girls, said goodbye to ALL their family (they were the only ones that came to America) and with their faith and love of the gospel boarded a ship to come here. My sweet grandma spent the trip washing diapers (disposable diapers were just being invented) and being very very sea sick in a little tiny boat cabin. They didn't speak much English but felt in their hearts that they wanted to live near a temple, and have their family sealed to them. I am so thankful for them. I am so thankful for the gospel and the happiness and peace that it brings to my life! I don't mean for that to be preachy or cheesy...its just has been on my mind.

ok so anyway with that said back to the story..... I went to work Friday and called Dixie to check what time we needed to be at the church for the tour/open house. I swear she said 6. It may have been that the store was noisy, bad cell reception....whatever. ....ill take the blame.... long story short- tickets were for 7 and its just good we live close to the churches that are being used as shuttle stops. hahaha everything ended up just fine so thats all that matters. Christopher slept the entire time. It was really cool to get to go see the new temple, and that I now live less than 10 minutes from a temple!

Cuddle me!

Christopher has not been to much of a snuggler unless he was really tired- up until this past week. Suddenly when ever I pick him up he just snuggles right into me. It is so much fun! Last night I was laying on the bed with him laying on my stomach. Usually he arches up so he can see but he just cuddled right into me. It was so fun!

Just in case you hadn't noticed, I just thought I would bring your attention to the fact that I am doing a much better job of blogging this year than last. I mean last year all together i had like 24 entries-- this year-- a month and some days in---already at half of that. I'd say i am doing pretty good! So, this is for those of you that have given me crap about needing to post more often. How do ya like that? hahahaha!
