pictures.
pictures are coming-- and i have pictures to add to many of the past posts. I just don't have time right now. I really need to be getting ready for work. I told myself I would be better about posting this year and figured I should at least get the words down--or else I never will so at least I have started right? that's gotta count for something.

TOYS!
So after playing with friends last week Chris and I decided that we should probably buy our little guy some toys! He has been so fun to watch as he plays. We bought him a play mat of his own and he loves it! It is so funny! He lays there kicking and wiggling his arms while he coos and giggles. It so much fun- he is changing so fast- and getting a cute little personality. There is a little mirror on one corner, and when he catches a glimpse of himself he freezes and just stares. I never imagined how much it would be to have a baby. No one can explain it to ya-- but its absolutely amazing! My two Christopher's mean everything to me! I love my little family!

mental block. .... try and get over it. hahaha
When it comes to posting I go blank. Not joking. I think of so many things that I want to blog about, we do lots of fun things, and have many funny stories each week. I think about them-- and want to blog about it. Then I get time to and its like my mind just goes blank. I don't know whats up with that but its my goal to do more blogging this year and make this somewhat of a family journal. So, that may mean that some posts will be boring to friends or family that may read this because it may just be boring day to day stuff, but to bad. hahaha.
So. I will do a little bit of catch up from the holidays and then try and keep up from here.

Play date.....for who?
Christopher and I went for a play date today. Who was it really for though? hahah I will have to say it was for me. It was so fun to visit with girl friends and watch the other darling little kids laugh and play. Don't get me wrong- Christopher had fun too! He doesn't have many toys of his own yet to laying on the play mat and bouncing in the jumper that our friends have was so much fun for him! Thanks for having us Tori! We cant wait for the next play date!

January 2009
January. Can you believe its already 2009. I swear it was just 1999. Its crazy how fast time goes by.
Chris is back in school. Which means Christopher and I miss him all day long Mondays and Wednesdays! He leaves for work by 6 (ish) and comes home at 10 (ish). Long days for him! I am so thankful for him and how he is willing to work so hard to provide for us.
I am back at work a couple of days a week. It is very different now that I have a little tag along. :) I get a few hours of work done, and then take a baby break to feed and play with Christopher. I really am so lucky to get to work with my parents. Christopher has a little bed with his toys, and a swing there that he can just hang out in while I try and get a few hours on a time card. It has been going well! I am also lucky that for the most part he is a very happy baby. (during the day anyway- evening sometimes is another story!)

Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone. hahaha I know I know I am a little late. I hope everyone had wonderful holidays! We sure did. This Christmas season absolutely flew by. Chris was working a million hours a week, and even had a few nights were he came home for dinner and then went back to work all night long. So, due to his ridiculous work schedule we didn't go to any Christmas programs or concerts. It was a little sad, but we do have a baby to play with so it was ok- we have stayed plenty busy with him.
Christmas eve is my favorite! I like it more than Christmas morning I think. Christmas morning always seems to go so fast. Christmas eve does too, but I just like that the anticipation and excitement is at its highest. Christmas eve is also when my family gets together for a big dinner. This year it was a little bit different. A family friend, Adam (who is from Arabic Nation- another story of its own) came for dinner. Stevens friend Chaz (who doesn't have much family around) joined us also. It was very fun to visit with the friends and family. We had a wonderful dinner and desert. Then we opened our jammies-- my mom wont give that up even tho her kids are all growing up. Christopher's are cute little fleecy ones that he is quickly growing into. It was very fun. We said good night and headed home.
Chris and I got home and finished up some packing and got to bed. Packing you ask? yes remember-- we go snowmobiling every year-- leaving Christmas day. Christmas morning came and we got up early to pack the truck up with all our bags. Chris came inside from loading the truck and said " I didn't realize how much stuff it takes for a baby." ---but for a week worth of cabin stay we needed lots and lots of diapers-- they filled a bag on their own. add a baby chair, and extra clothes in case of poop blow outs....oh wow even tiny clothes like his end up taking some space.
CHRISTMAS MORNING! It was so windy, cold and stormy! .... we went to my parents house to open gifts with them and have lunch with the Dame side (my moms family). After lunch we headed out. Off to the cabin we went. The roads were fine till we were in the canyon. Then it was slick and slow the rest of the way there. We made it safe and sound and had a very fun time playing with the family. Ill post more about the trip in the next entry. I have to run- and try and get some errands done before Christopher wants to nap. :) Have a great afternoon.

The Cabin....
So some of the highlights of the trip since i pretty much suck at blogging and wont write a big long post about it...
Learning how much I love that at home Christopher (aka worlds most noisy sleeper) sleeps in his own room.
Playing games with the family. In particular "ticket to ride" and everyone wondering where Dixie was going with all the trains she was placing!
The boys towing each other around on the tubes behind the snowmobiles. - that one had bad idea written all over it but luckily no one got hurt!
Just hanging out and enjoying the company of family!
It was such a fun trip, and we cant wait to go up there again. Hopefully there will be more snow the next time!
